Why paragliding on the Gerlitzen

The Gerlitzen lies between Lake Ossiach and Lake Afritz, near Villach. The big height difference of almost 1,400 metres makes long, calm flights possible. And then there's the view: Lake Ossiach below you, the mountains of Carinthia all around.

How you get up the mountain

   Meeting point in Bodensdorf

   We meet at the landing field, Gerlitzenstraße 2, 9551 Bodensdorf. You park for free here.

2. 2

   Shuttle to the cable car

   Our shuttle takes you to the cable car in Annenheim. The shuttle is included in the flight price.

   Up by gondola

   The cable car ticket is not included in the flight price. With the Kärnten Card, the ride up is free.

   Take-off on the Gerlitzen

   At the take-off site you get your harness, helmet and a short briefing. Then you run a few steps into the wind together and lift off.

If the Gerlitzen isn't flyable

On the day, our pilot team decides whether we take off, based on wind and weather. Our weather station at the landing field gives us live data for this. Our second site is the Dreiländereck (Three Countries Corner), which we choose depending on the weather, mainly in winter. If neither works, we move your date free of charge.
