Why Lake Ossiach and not Lake Wörthersee?
A tandem flight needs a high take-off site and a safe landing field. The Gerlitzen has both: about 1,400 metres above Lake Ossiach, and our own landing field in Bodensdorf. That's why we fly there, for guests from Lake Wörthersee too.
At Lake Wörthersee itself, you'll often find parasailing. That's something different: you're towed behind a boat. When paragliding, you take off from a mountain and glide freely under the paraglider.
A day out from Lake Wörthersee
- Drive to the meeting point in Bodensdorf: about 30 minutes
- Flight including cable car and shuttle: about two hours
- Then go for a swim: lake access and the lido next to the landing field
